Welcome to Procurement Spotlight where we bring startups the latest public procurement news and opportunities in Oslo.

Apply now for Innovation District research grants

Oslo-based companies can now apply for grants for preliminary research projects with Oslo Innovation Districts: Oslo Science City, Center and Hovinbyen. Up to NOK 200,000 is available per project. There are three remaining deadlines in 2021: 19 November, 1 December, and 20 December.

Priority areas:

  • Health and life sciences
  • Green transition and circular economy
  • Digitization and digital transformation


Support can also be given to projects within:

  • Internationalization
  • Innovation in the public sector, public sector as the test arena
  • Innovation across industries

Funding for new digitalization initiatives

In 2022, Digdir will distribute NOK 190.6 million in funding to new digitalization measures. The application deadline is 21 March 2022. Read more about eligibility requirements and get the application here.

20tretti pilot projects begin

This year's 20tretti (2030) program at StartupLab paired climate headaches with new solutions from startups to help accelerate the green shift. In the final stage of the program, Bymiljøetaten and other participating organizations met with their selected startups to talk concretely about which projects to pursue to solve pressing climate challenges. Now the pilots begin!

SmartOslo
Deadline: Open call

SmartOslo is a municipal program that supports innovative pilot projects in Oslo. City entities partner with startups and apply for matching funds to test new technologies, products and services.

Invitation to tender: Mapping Nordic AI and Data Ecosystem and Strongholds
Deadline: 29 November

Nordic Innovation is seeking a supplier to map the Nordic AI and data ecosystem. The budget is up to NOK 600k excl VAT.

Bærum is recruiting an innovation project developer
Deadline: 29 November

Bærum municipality is looking to hire a project developer in innovation, research and academia.

Enova seeks pilot projects
Deadline (extended): 3 December

Enova is looking for innovative pilot projects that will develop and test new technologies and business models that advance emission-free building and construction sites, including systems that combine technologies and are scalable.

Preliminary research with Innovation Districts
Deadline: 20 December

At this dialogue conference, public organizations will present their needs and upcoming circular procurements. Suppliers will pitch their circular furniture solutions.
