Together with our Nordic neighbors, Oslo and Norway is leading the way on creating sustainable solutions that are needed globally within ocean, food, education and energy.
Yesterday on May 3rd 2022, we gathered 30 startups and investors to an event in collaboration with MESH Oslo and the Stockholm based investor and co-working space for impact startups, Norrsken. The hot topic was how do we solve our biggest global challenges through entrepreneurship and technology.
Anders Mjåset (MESH), entrepreneur Johan Brand (founder Kahoot, We are Human) and investor Tharald Nustad (Katapult) were all part of the program.
Norway Meets Sweden
The event was part of the official state visit from Norway to Sweden and was attended by The Norwegian Crown Prince couple, the Swedish Crown Princess couple and Norwegian Minister of Trade and Industry, Jan Christian Vestre.
350 people from Norwegian businesses, organizations and industry clusters were part of the delegation to Stockholm and Gothenburg - and was the biggest ever. The full program was organized by Innovation Norway.
More Nordic collaboration
Building stronger Nordic relationships has been a part of Oslo Business Region’s strategy for a long time - to attract investments, talent and business to our region. We believe in a bigger alliance, and the Nordic tech and startup ecosystem has a lot of potential in working together. Globally the Nordics is the 12th biggest economy.
In December, we hosted a Nordic event during SLUSH, and we are looking forward to creating even more opportunities for our startups, scaleups and the ecosystem. One of the projects we are supporting is the Nordic Asian startup platform (NAVA), and we are planning several joint activities in the months and next years to come - so stay tuned.
