I'm Siw Andersen, CEO, Oslo Business Region. On Oslo is a series where I’ll share my thoughts on what Oslo needs to succeed globally. This one’s about Oslo Innovation Week, where you experience Oslo at its most innovative.

Oslo Innovation Week brings the startup community together and connects Oslo to the world.

It is where you experience Oslo at its most innovative. Over five days, 20-24 October, the city fills with entrepreneurs, investors, researchers, politicians, and decision makers from Norway and abroad. Together, we explore solutions that create new business opportunities and drive green and sustainable growth.

This year’s theme is Real Action. Real Impact. Real Oslo. Oslo Innovation Week is not just a conference, it’s a showcase of the city’s open and innovative ecosystem. It is a bridge between Oslo and the world, between founders and investors, between challenges and solutions. This is where internationals meet a city that’s ready to do business, share knowledge, and engage in new collaborations.

So, what can you expect?
A program packed with companies and initiatives leading the way in health, climate, and digital services, and concrete solutions to some of the world’s toughest problems.

Events like Oslo Innovation Week strengthen Oslo as a place where people connect across industries, sectors, and borders. It’s about more than new tech or solutions, it’s about working together. Oslo is known for building across divides, and as a participant, you’ll experience how our approach helps drive innovation and growth.

Behind Oslo Innovation Week is Oslo Business Region, with the ambition to create an arena with international relevance and impact. We can only achieve this through collaboration: more than 200 partners and organisers, including the French-Norwegian Chamber of Commerce, TEK Norway, and Oslo Chamber of Commerce, plus strong support from the City of Oslo and Innovation Norway are the beating heart of the week. A special thank you goes to the many volunteers who make the week possible; before, during, and after the week.

Three tips if you’re joining Oslo Innovation Week for the first time:

  • Sign up now - events are filling up quickly.

  • Coffee catch-up with a colleague or new contact? Plan for it at an Oslo Innovation Week event.

  • Students: YES, this for you too! We (and the organisers) really want you there.

See you in Oslo! Check the program and sign up for the events.
