Key insight from Oslo Outlook # March

On the upside:

  • The unemployment rate is stable at 2% and still the lowest in the Nordics

  • Employment in the ICT- industry has increased by 30% from 2021-2022

  • Oslo is an attractive city for internationals. The city keeps growing thanks to the people moving in from abroad

On the downside:

  • An increase of 33% of companies declared bankruptcy from Q3 to Q4 in 2022

  • Decrease of 39% in new housing projects in 2022. Over time, it can lead to a housing shortage

  • Domestically, more people are moving out of Oslo to other places in Norway
