On 28 April we gathered around 40 attendees at Pakkhuset to a new edition of Oslo Startup Day, focused on how startups can get funding for research in order to further develop their product or service.

Oslo Startup Day is a concept by Oslo Business Region that has been going strong for almost a decade. The purpose is always the same; give new entrepreneurs a good starting point for building their startup in Oslo.

All good companies can become even more successful by working together with the right research communities. If your company is looking to engage in research driven innovation, there are several public funding schemes that you can apply for.

First we got an introduction to the Regional Research Fund by Anne Solheim, before we invited Eirik Andreassen form Digital Norway on stage to talk about his work as a competence broker - a free advisory tool for you to navigate the public funding schemes. We finished the day with CMO and Co-Founder of Ludenso, Ingrid Skrede, who shared their experience with research based funding.
