Norwegian Mycelium AS (NoMy), an Oslo-based fermentation technology company, has been named the winner of the Oslo Innovation Award 2025. NoMy transforms food industry side streams into high-value mycoprotein using fungal mycelium and raised €2.6 million in equity funding earlier this year to scale its groundbreaking technology, with a focus on commercial applications in Japan and Europe.

The award jury, Stine Mølgaard Sørensen (Alliance VC), Gisle Glück Evensen (Summa Equity), and Teodor Bjerrang (SNÖ Ventures), highlighted NoMy for its ability to deliver both environmental and economic impact. “NoMy exemplifies how innovation can address food security, responsible production, and climate action while achieving global growth,” the jury said.

“I’m honoured that NoMy has been awarded the Oslo Innovation Award,” says Ingrid Dynna, CEO and Co-founder of NoMy. “This recognition reflects the incredible work of our team and partners - and our belief that fermentation can reshape how food is produced, advancing a more circular and resilient food system.”

Founded in 2020, NoMy develops AI-driven fermentation technologies that convert food industry side streams into mycoproteins rich in protein, fiber, and minerals - demonstrating Norwegian innovation on a global scale.

NoMy joins previous winners such as Saga Robotics, Strise, Otovo, Kahoot, and Gelato, continuing Oslo’s tradition of recognising companies that drive sustainability and positive social change from Oslo.
